Squintro 00:41
Narrow your vision Open your mind The less you see The more you’ll find On the horizon or in the mirror Squint your eyes, it will all get clearer
2.
Ghost 02:12
A hunger that hurts you can’t feed Full bloom trapped in a seed Buried beneath all the weeds That have tangled up your mind You tend to a crop you won’t taste A beautiful thing gone to waste Angrily search for a place of peace That you will never find Throw your stones and they won’t get in Convince yourself that this is how you win Running from the one you hate the most On your heels, haunting like a ghost And are you scared that you feel more at ease When at struggle than when you’re at peace? I cut my ties the hatchets buried Your weakness made me stronger That anchors yours to carry It’ll drag me down no longer
3.
Dealer Wins 02:06
Feel it seeping in Feel you fading out So far away from this place here now Let it all set in When what's always been then Begins to begin Your cards been pulled Your names been called Your cards been pulled Dealer wins The feeling's in you now Dimmed by a black cloud Crying out but you don't make a sound Keep it all held in You wear another's skin Just like the last time It'll happen again Not a matter of chance just a matter of when It'll happen again Can't change the outcome, I know the end It'll happen again The dealer always wins
4.
Homesick 02:06
One moment there and present next You’re looking in, you’re feelin it It’s coming up and over you It starts to take control But it’s a feeling I know Yeah I’ve been here before And I can find my way home Backtrack the path until I find Crumbs back to my piece of mind So hard to search, so hard to try (Hard pressed from depression) But I’ll press on I know I’ve felt this way before But this time I know the road I know my way home Home to the love and the warmth Home to a reminder of what it’s all worth What it’s all been for
5.
Mantra 02:03
Like paint spilled on a weathered canvas Lines change, bleed, rearrange With your understanding Grabs your head and forces your focus The things you hide and leave unnoticed Begin to flood before your eyes All your faults amplify. I can’t keep running I can’t keep numbing myself I can’t I can I need to be here for it Mantra repeated Tell me again and again I can’t I can I need to be here for it

about

"Feel It" is the debut EP from St.Louis, MO melodic-hardcore band, Squint. Featuring various members from Missouri bands Time and Pressure, New Lives, Soul Craft and Choir Vandals, Squint has a nice palette of sounds ranging from hardcore to alternative/indie rock. Largely influenced by a shared liking of Rites of Spring and Turning Point, "Feel It" take the sound of melodic-leaning hardcore, but Squint is able to put their own spin on it with fuzzed-out guitars and big riffs—recalling tones heard from bands like Seaweed and Sugar.

Most importantly, as the title suggests, "Feel It" loudly communicates a huge array of emotions. Themes of anger, presence, loving, depression, and more are delivered by vocalist and songwriter, Brennen Wilkinson. Each word is passionately shouted by Wilkinson, and with the backing of huge guitars and hard-hitting drums, all you want to do is shout-along, bang your head, and of course—feel it.
